Our Foundation Programme in Social Sciences is specifically designed for international students who have completed high school and wish to progress to social science, including law, undergraduate courses in English speaking countries.
Successful completion offers a pathway to an extensive range of career-enhancing undergraduate programmes at leading universities in the UK and Australia.
You will develop the language, learning and communication skills required for undergraduate study as well as completing a project and studying the following key academic subjects:
Law
An introduction to the English legal system, contract and criminal law and the issues of morality and justice. There is a strong emphasis on evaluating information and developing the skills to construct logical, coherent and balanced arguments.
Politics
An introduction to the UK and USA political systems. You will apply your knowledge to contemporary politics and events and analyse the similarities and differences between the two systems.
Economics
An introduction to key economic concepts, theories and institutions. You will explore current national and international economic issues, the problems they create and the effect on everyday life.

Academic Subject Modules
Completion of High School in your country with good grades or 4 relevant IGCSEs at Grade C (4). Specific academic entry requirements for your country can be found on our Entry Requirements Page.
Students also require an English level equivalent to 5.5 in IELTS.
Pre-sessional English courses are available for students who do not have the required English level – see our pre-sessional English Programme page for details.
We offer the option of either joining us in London or Abu Dhabi or studying online in our Virtual Classroom.
