IFG Prevent and Safeguarding Policy and Procedure - International Foundation Group (IFG)
Loading...

IFG is committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can study and develop free from harm, abuse, neglect, bullying or discrimination. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and this policy explains how IFG works to protect students’ wellbeing, particularly children, adults at risk, and those who may be vulnerable due to personal circumstances or external pressures.

This policy also reflects IFG’s legal Prevent Duty, which requires education providers to take reasonable steps to prevent individuals from being drawn into terrorism or extremist ideologies. IFG takes a proportionate and supportive approach, focusing on early identification, pastoral support, and safeguarding rather than criminalisation. Open discussion, critical thinking and freedom of expression are encouraged, provided they remain lawful and respectful of others.

The policy sets out how concerns can be raised, what happens if a student makes a disclosure, and how IFG works with external agencies where necessary to keep students safe. If you are worried about your own safety or the wellbeing of another student, you can report concerns confidentially. IFG will respond promptly, sensitively and fairly, with student welfare and safety at the centre of all decisions.
