Studying in a new country is exciting and offers fantastic opportunities to progress your education and improve your career prospects. It will also be life-changing in terms of developing yourself as an individual, making new friends and gaining a greater awareness of the world outside your home country.
However, we appreciate that there are also challenges to living in a new country away from your family and that it takes time to adjust to your new environment. We will do everything possible to help this transition, helping you to find secure and comfortable accommodation, giving you information on your new living environment, helping you to make the transition to a new style of studying, and advising you when you have any difficulties. You will always have someone readily available for a chat.
We also offer free access to all IFG students and staff to Togetherall. a wonderful online advice centre for mental health and well-being issues. Togetherall offers a totally anonymous 24/7, 365 days a year service where you can seek help from trained mental healthcare specialists and communicate with other students who face the same issues or challenges as yourself. Please click on the Togetherall link for more details.
Our Pre-Arrival information gives more detailed information on services which IFG offers to our students as does our Student handbook.
A key element of our services concerns your progression to UK universities. Most students join us as a pathway to university courses and we give one-to-one advice in choosing the right courses and universities, and in all stages of the application process. This help is supported by talks from representatives of different universities.
